The best time to go weather wise is any time outside the June through October 30 hurricane season. The best time to go price-wise is whenever you can find the best deal (which may OR may not be during the hurricane season). A 20 day voyage in the Caribbean is pretty rare so you may not find it during your "best time". The longest Caribbean cruise I have seen is a 15 day circle Caribbean. But an option if you cannot find a 20 day cruise is to do a "back to back" cruise. Some cruise ships will cruise alternating itineraries each week. Thus you can cruise two consecutive cruises on the same ship and, for example, you would cruise the Eastern Caribbean one week and then the Western Caribbean the second week. That type cruise is likely available out of Miami and/or Ft Lauderdale. OR, you can do back to backs out of Puerto Rico to the Southern Caribbean.

Same question as above, not sure what perfect means.

November is cheap cheap, but you have the lingering hurricane threat, and you're more likely to run into some rain. I just did a November cruise with folks who always pick that time of year. Only had rain one day, and I was snorkeling anyway.

Fall or spring is probably best - low season price-wise, still warm but not hot, no summer vacationers to contend with (when kids are out of school).

The best and cheapest time to go would be in September. The weather will still be very hot in the Caribbean, and it won't be as crowded as going during the summer months.
A 20 day voyage sounds amazing!! Have fun.

The "perfect" time depends on your criteria! What matters most to you?

Personally I'd avoid the summer, for these reasons...
- It's pretty much always warm, but the summers can be stifling if you're not used to it
- Hurricane season is officially June through November
- School holidays mean more demand, which means higher prices

Actually, if you want 20 days in the Caribbean I'm not sure you really have that much choice, unless you were open to two 10-day cruises back-to-back.

In terms of true 20-day, the only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Holland America Line's ship "Maasdam", which is doing 20-day Caribbean this Spring and the same line's ship "Noordam" in the late autumn.
