I want to cruise around the mediterranean for approx 3 months on a boat?

I dont know how to sail so a sail boat is probably out of the question? it would prob have to be powered. are there holiday providers out there that rent out boats for this period? anyone else got some experience, costs, etc in this?

its one of my life long ambitions!

    do this go out about 8 miles shut down the engine and restart it 3 months later and come back. was that so hard to figure out

    I along with 4 other friends ( guys ) sailed around the greek Islands in 1994 , it was a great holiday , like a kind of adventure , we went for 2 weeks , if you do manage to go it wil be a great experience 4 u , but you need to get a license or a certificate of competency ok , no one is going to hire you a boat unless you have done a sailing course ok !! , we sailed on a 40 yacht with sails and an inboard penta diesel twin cyl engine , there are lots of group tours ( we seen them saling together ) there a lots of things you need to learn before you go out on the water , specially the rules about sailing ok , there are over 400 greek islands , so you will never get to visit them all , but never the less its great pulling in the shore and spending an evening at the make shift bars and cafe’s they erect for the summer time visitors , peak season starts on the first of june , and the price is double that of off peak season , you dont need to buy expensive foods and rubbish , there are local supermarkets you can visit and buy simple foods , and bottled water !! why dont you get 5 friends !! it cost me about 800 pounds sterling that time and that was flights included the food and booze cost extra , its what I would call a proper holiday , every day was different always some thing to do and places to visit , every one on the boat had a go an sailing , only one time for a few hours did we loose sight of land , but it was ok cause we had a map and compass , and a radio …….. good luck ……… wish I could go 2 :)

    First if I give you a name you have to take me with you.

    OK, here is a company I used in the Abacos, and I know they also base out of the Greek Isles.

    You will have to fill out a boating resume or be ready hire a captain.
